Anyway, we had a session on love and infatuation, and it was insightful. Here are some takeaways.
Choose the right partner cos both of you will come alongside each other to fulfill your destiny.
The person you're with now, or the person you're interested in, does he/she help to fulfill your destiny that God has planned for you? Is he/she willing to work alongside you in ministry?
Your choice of your life partner bothers God.
He wants you to serve in partnership and when you serve Him in partnership, you will move in double power!
Can the person you have in mind for your life partner serve together with you, especially if you're already serving in a ministry? Do the two of you build each other up?
Don't get married to someone and waste 30/40 years of your life doing something other than fulfilling your destiny in God, then realize that you made a mistake and then turn back to serve God! You could have used your years for God!
It is worth waiting for the BEST. God has his BEST for you.
Are you waiting for the BEST? Or have you settled for someone you think is the best, without seeking God first, or the counsel of your parents/leaders? If you already have a significant other, do you honestly think that this is the BEST boy/girl God has set aside for you? Consider carefully whether he/she is indeed the BEST that God has for you.
And as Dot and I always say, make a LIST. A list of traits you know you want your significant other to have. Spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, etc. And then check the person you have in mind against this list. If he/she does not even fit the list, why should you settle for less? Don't give your heart away so easily. It's not all about feelings. God gave you a brain for a reason!
Choose wisely.

Some may say 'it's just once, how can it hurt?' but it DOES hurt. If you've done it once, you'll tell yourself it's ok to do it again. And again. And pretty soon, you'll find that God's nowhere near the top of your priority list. I've been there.
Choose wisely.

I DID IT! Yeahhh finally did my 10km. Timing is unknown but it's within 1hr 20min! Yayhoos. Whoa. Legs are feeling RAH-THER tired now though. Yet I'm sure my level of fatigue can't compare to those who did the 42km. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!! You made it! I felt like vomitting at a certain point cos my mouth was just so dry, but I kept running. Mind over matter! :D
Thank God for water points, great weather and enabling me to complete the 10km without stopping! I don't know if I'll progress on to the half-marathon and full marathon cos today during the run, the last 1km seemed interminable. I kept wondering where my finishing line was, arghhh! But when I saw it, I lifted my eyes to the sky and sprinted! Yay! Haha I even felt like raising my hands in thanksgiving to God but... too shy. HAHAHAHA... goodness. So happy and so tired.
Yay we did it! :) :) :)
